I have not tried "Topaz", but if you already upgraded to Big Sur, some of the applications are not yet ready. Some application may need to be called by scrolling down to "Other" in the "Edit with" menu. Dear Forum Members, Today Topaz Sharpen AI 4.1 for Macintosh stopped working, meaning I can start it, and it pretends to do all the calculations, but the result is exactly as the original, therfore the program is just useless However, it was working yesterday, except it stopped and after a restart of the computer it worked again. You can call any external editor from the menu item "Image > Edit with > Other", if your version of Photos already has this menu item.
What is your system version? Are you still using macOS 10.13 as shown below your question?
